Watch the MaxFunDrive Live Show Livestream at 4pm PT!

Every year we close out the MaxFunDrive with a spectacular show full of your favorite hosts, streamed live from Los Angeles. This year's live show will take place Friday, March 29 from 4pm to 6pm PT (7pm to 9pm ET).

An Announcement Regarding Transcripts

Over the past few years, our listeners have pointed out a lack of accessibility for hard-of-hearing fans, due to a lack of transcribed podcast episodes available through our website. We have been open in the past about the cost-prohibitive nature of transcription, while remaining committed to finding a solution. We have at last found one.

We will be providing transcriptions for 18 of the shows on the network, with the McElroys providing and paying for their shows' transcripts, including their back catalog, to support the effort. Beginning this summer, transcriptions of new episodes will be made available for the following shows:

  • The Adventure Zone
  • Bubble
  • Bullseye
  • The Flop House
  • Friendly Fire
  • The Greatest Generation
  • Heat Rocks
  • Judge John Hodgman
  • My Brother, My Brother and Me
  • Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone
  • Oh No, Ross and Carrie!
  • One Bad Mother
  • Sawbones
  • Shmanners
  • Still Buffering
  • Switchblade Sisters
  • Trends Like These
  • Wonderful!

In order to provide transcripts for our shows, we will be hiring a staff member whose job will be transcribing these episodes. They will be part of the MaxFun family, understanding and relaying the tone of the shows you love into text. We will continue to add shows to our list of transcribed programs as we are able.

This would not be possible without the support of our listeners -- in the form of their monthly contributions as well as their voices, letting us know where we can do better and best serve everyone. We are endlessly grateful.

Sawbones: Modern Day Snake Oil Salespeople

Ross and Carrie visit the Healing Rooms Ministries of Boston on a quest to heal eczema, migraines, allergies, and myopia, and then share the tale with a live Boston public radio audience... and also all the people walking by who overhear their buttfisting references. The great Jennings Brown (Gizmodo, The Gateway) also shares his recent exposé of a fake sex expert, and comes along to the healing rooms to cure his thanatophobist malady. Tights and Fights Ep. 136: ‘S’ is for "Smile" w/ Matthew Gaydos

Matthew Gaydos

Happy #MaxFunDrive! For our second episode of the week, Hal, Danielle and Lindsey are joined by Matthew Gaydos. He’s the host of the "I Love It" podcast. One thing that he loves is wrestling. Growing up his family was not very well off, financially; but they still managed to watch a number of wrestling PPV’s (he’s not sure if those two facts are at all related).

The panel will get into everything from the week in wrestling. That includes the highs like Kofi Kingston finally getting his WWE Title against Daniel Bryan; and the confirmation that Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch will be the closing match at WrestleMania!

Unfortunately, it also means looking at the worst things that happened this week. Like Asuka losing her Smackdown Women’s title to Charlotte. Does that inherently devalue the title? Or does having both brand’s championships in the main event help raise the stakes?

This show is dedicated to our Max Fun Members! If you’d like to join them, sign up at as part of the #MaxFunDrive to support this and other Maximum Fun shows you listen to for as little as $5 a month. Your membership gets you all sorts of gifts like bonus episodes of every Max Fun show, including Tights and Fights!

The Three Count

Matthew put over Dean Ambrose on the "Major Wrestling Figure" Podcast.

Danielle put over Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon discussing their WrestleMania ladder match.

Lindsey put over Nikki Bella’s retirement announcement.

Hal put over Elias and Finn Balor rendition fo ‘Shallows.’

Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, Lindsey Kelk and Matthew Gaydos

Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

If you want to talk about more wrestling throughout the week be sure to join us on Facebook and @TightsFights on Twitter and Instagram.

If you liked the show, please share it with your friends and be sure to leave us a quick review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get podcasts.

Switchblade Sisters Episode 73: 'Dead Ringers' with The Soska Sisters! PLUS an Interview with Michele Meek

Jen and Sylvia Soska

Dead Ringers

Identical twins Sylvia and Jen Soska, known as The Soska Sisters, are an unstoppable force. You may know them best from their films Dead Hooker in a Trunk and American Mary. You may also know them as the hosts of the Blumhouse game show, 'Hellevator.' Or even as the writers for the most recent installment of the Black Widow comics. They are on the program this week for a very special Max Fun Drive episode talking about David Cronenberg's masterpiece, Dead Ringers. The sisters are avid Cronenberg devotees and, not to mention, this film centers around identical twins Beverly and Elliot Mantle. The pairing of guest and movie is truly a match made in heaven. The sisters also discuss what went into making their body modification horror, American Mary, and why agents and managers warn actors about working with them.

And in celebration of the Max Fun Drive, we have an additional segment this week. April talks to writer and filmmaker Michele Meek about her new book, Independent Female Filmmakers: A Chronicle Through Interviews, Profiles, and Manifestos. They discuss the travesty that not one film made by a woman is on the AFI Top 100 Films list. And how movies actually influence society's concept of consent.

This episode has a little bit of everything. And it's all in celebration of our annual Max Fun Drive. If you would like to support this show, please become a monthly member at:
